Maritime Transport has been Awarded with the FTA Roadworthiness Award by the Freight Transport Association. The award has been given to Maritime’s Bristol Depot in order to recognise and celebrate the high standards that they offer through their maintenance services for vehicles and trailers. The company has also received praise for their work into managing controlling driver related defects.
The Freight Transport Association’s’ Roadworthiness Awards looks to emphasise the hard work put in by members to keep their fleets safe and legal while also maintaining efficiency. The Association’s Awards work to celebrate the extremely high standards that are shown in vehicle safety, condition and maintenance in an attempt to encourage more and more companies to improve standards of compliance in this area by offering the incentive of recognition.The Freight Transport Association stretches back to 1889 and is considered to be the mouthpiece for the freight and logistics industry. The Association works to represent the interests of companies that are involved in the transportation of goods over the road, sea and air.
The Senior Contract Manager of the Freight Transport Association has presented the award to the Bristol Depot of the Maritime Transport Ltd because of the high standards of vehicle safety shown as well as the compliance of the depot with vehicle condition requirements. Maritime Transport Ltd is considered to be the largest container transport company that operates in the UK. The company also works to offer logistics services, and aims to make sure their customers have safe and high standard services that are also value for money.
