Logistics Operator Is on Track to Achieve Record Turnover

Europa Worldwide Group, the logistics operator that has 400 staff at three sites across the East Midlands, has announced it is on track to achieve record turnover and profits in 2021. Acquired by entrepreneur Andrew Baxter in 2013, the company has recently invested in a £60 million 3PL facility at Midlands Logistics Park in Corby.

Europa’s sites also include its specialist technology team based near Worksop and a European road freight sales team based at Colwick Quays Business Park.

Its board is now expecting to achieve a record turnover of £260 million this year, compared with £210 million in 2020, increasing to £300 million next year. Profits are expected to be £10 million in 2021, an increase of £6.4 million over 2020 levels, which were impacted the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Despite various worldwide restrictions being imposed on the movement of goods, Europa continues to trade profitably in the face of economic uncertainty and is on track. Our approach has always been to focus on offering the best solutions to meet our customers’ needs, fortitude and dedication in adversity, maintaining the highest levels of service,” commented Baxter.

“I am incredibly proud of our staff and look forward to collaborating with them as we get our growth plans on track and strive to hit our ambitious £400 million turnover target,” he concluded.
