Mobile Mini, the portable accommodation and storage rental specialist, has achieved FORS Gold accreditation for its growing fleet of HGV delivery vehicles. This marks the third consecutive time that the company has achieved the FORS Gold standard – not only a hat-trick for the company, but also a first within its industry.
Mobile Mini has recently acquired a series of 15 new delivery vehicles, and now has a total number of 41 mounted loader crane vehicles, one of the biggest fleets of its kind in the UK.
The company is the only storage container company to be awarded the Gold award by the accreditation scheme, and demonstrates Mobile Mini’s ongoing commitment to safety and effective vehicle management policies.
Keith Silvester, Lifting Operations Manager, Mobile Mini UK, said: “Safety is at the forefront of everything we do here at Mobile Mini and another FORS Gold Award demonstrates how seriously we take our responsibilities as a fleet operator.
“FORS first came to our attention back in 2012 when we noticed an increase in customers requesting it as a contractual condition when delivering to their sites. It has since been the catalyst to our advances in vehicle technology and focus on our people and processes.”
Since taking part in the FORS scheme, Mobile Mini has seen a substantial reduction in the company’s motor insurance premiums, demonstrating that not only does the initiative make transport operations safer; it also provides a good return on investment.
