German Gymnasium has revealed that they will be hosting an event that will take place in partnership
with Wines of Germany. The event will take place this summer and will include a range of picnic
hampers to be sampled by guests. The whole event is expected to have a cool Berlin vibe and will allow
the people of London to enjoy the picnic hampers in a number of different outside locations around the
city.
The picnic events will take place at the Granary Square as well as at Regent’s Park and a number of
different locations in between. The picnic will be served at the event in a modern steel hamper and
wayfarer style glasses for the guests to add to the theme of the event. Each of the hampers available
have been designed to celebrate and accompany a different German wine that will be available to order
for the event by the bottle or by the glass.
With the German wine including the popular Riesling, well suited for the summery event and the
German equivalent to Champagne or prosecco, Sekt, the guests will be spoilt for choice for the
exceptional German wines on offer. It is thought that Germany is the third largest producer of Pinot Noir
in the World and the Spätburgunder will be available at the event as a fabulous accompaniment to the
picnic.
In order to complement each of the wine that is on offer at the events that will be taking place across
London this summer, the picnic hamper will include a number of different German delicacies which have
been created for the event by Bjoern Wassmuth. There will be a number of different flavour Giga Rolls,
which are a Bavarian delicacy and also a selection of different sweet treats such as Nussecken which are
available for guests to try as they savour thy German wines.
