FTA Is Co-ordinating the Future Logistics Conference 2020

FTA is proud to be the Strategic Partner of Innovation and Technology in Transport (ITT) Hub. This new two-day exhibition and conference will be held for the first time in spring 2020, and will provide a platform for all those involved in transport and logistics to experience the latest technologies and debate the big issues which will affect the industry in the 21st century and beyond.

The event will be located at the brand new, purpose-built Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre and will be free-to-attend.

The ITT Hub is more than an exhibition. FTA will be delivering a comprehensive conference programme over both days of the event. Structured around four key themes, sessions will be delivered by thought leaders, innovators and experts representing a wide range of businesses and stakeholders.

  • Future Data: Data is the exciting engine room for future logistics. This stream examines the biggest drivers, what’s happening in technology and how it will likely impact transport and logistics.
  • Future Vehicles: Making sense of the future transport and logistics environment and how it might impact the choices you make about fuels and vehicles. Where should you invest and who are the innovators in this space?
  • Future Business Strategies: How might transport and logistics businesses need to change to adapt to future requirements? What new business models will be needed? How will they manage change, resilience and risk? And how can the government help the private sector deliver?
  • Future Communities: Cities seem to be the main focus for future innovation and policy agendas. How should cities manage congestion, pollution, and safety in stressed and dense environments? But very importantly how can our towns, villages and the countryside not be left-behind?

Tim Peake has also been confirmed as a keynote speaker. Peake, 47, was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station, where his work during Mission Principia inspired millions about the possibilities which space could offer.  A former test pilot, he is also a STEM ambassador, schools’ speaker and best-selling author.

His keynote speech will kick off two days of debate and discussions at ITT Hub 2020.
