DSV's Brexit Seminars Taking Place All Over the Country

DSV's Brexit Seminars Taking Place All Over the Country

With the UK Government unable to reach an agreement with Parliament for the withdrawal from the European Union, it has become essential for both DSV and its clients to prepare for the possibility of a No Deal Brexit.

DSV aims to help its clients understand the effects of Brexit within the Logistics Industry. The initial preparation and first step was to train all DSV personnel, so that they can understand the situation, support clients through the process and respond to clients concerns.

Providing further support to clients, DSV chose to hold a series of Brexit Briefing Conferences across the country, which is currently in full swing. Initially planned to be hosted in DSV locations, the response was overwhelming so further planning was needed to accommodate over 1000 delegates that signed up to attend.

The free to attend briefings are being held in hotels and conference suites throughout the UK. They are hosted by experts within the fields of logistics, warehousing, customs and finance, enabling DSV to provide clients with accurate and up-to-date information on the Brexit process.

The agenda includes “Where is Brexit today” and “How will Brexit impact on the supply chain” the team communicate valuable, extensive information on how the transport process will change in the future and what paperwork and customs declarations will be required to trade with the EU in the future.

The process of moving goods both in to and out of the European Union will change dramatically in the event of a No Deal Brexit, failure to submit the required paperwork at time of booking could lead to longer lead times. During the Briefings clients are being informed on what DSV is doing to prepare for Brexit and have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

“The attendees so far have provided a positive response, thanking DSV for their efforts, appreciating DSV’s understanding of the situation and outlining the future impact for the logistics industry,” commented Chris Malyon, Senior Director at DSV Road Limited.
