BCA's Future Classics Sale

BCA's Future Classics Sale

The Future Classics Sale at BCA Nottingham attracted a large and varied crowd of buyers willing to bid on an eclectic mix of sports cars, performance cars, family saloons and prestige models covering nearly sixty years of motoring history.

BCA offered a selection of cars ranging from the 1950s saloons to more modern sporting, executive and luxury models. In keeping with a collectors market that attracts enthusiasts from every age group, vehicles ranged in value from a few hundred pounds to many thousands. The only thing that all cars had in common was the potential of acquiring a classic status in the future.

The oldest car sold on the day was the 1960 Wolseley 6/99 Police Car, finished in black with just 15,000 miles recorded and sold for £8,400. The 2005 Porsche 911 997 Carrera S Tiptronic S Convertible in grey was one of the top performers in the Future Classics sale, selling for £19,800 at 75,000 miles.

Among the good value classics on offer were the 2002 BMW 540i Sport 4.4 auto in silver at 108,000 miles sold for £2,600 and the 2000 Rover Mini 1.3 Classic Cooper at 49,000 miles realised £6,400. The 2004 Mercedes SL500 5.0 Convertible in black at 73,000 miles also seemed good value at £5,300.

“Our Future Classics sale attracted a great deal of interest from trade buyers and private enthusiasts thanks to a sale catalogue that featured a great mix of classic and performance cars. We were delighted with the strong turnout of buyers and confident bidding on the day,” said Stuart Pearson, managing director of BCA Remarketing.

The next Future Classics sale will take place at BCA Nottingham, Victoria Business Park, NG4 2PE on Thursday, the 17th of May, commencing at 10.30 am, while the next monthly Top Car sale is on Thursday, the 19th of April.
