A record sale has been staged by BCA at the Perry Barr remarketing hub on the 21st of August, as over 1,000 vehicles were offered for auction from Volkswagen Financial Services UK (VWFS),
The 1,000 vehicle event on behalf of VWFS at Perry Barr was the largest physical entry by a single vendor on one day at BCA and attracted a huge audience of buyers. Nearly 200 buyers registered to bid in-lane, with over 1,000 different buyers bidding via BCA Live Online.
“BCA delivered massive buying power for this special, record-breaking sale with hundreds of buyers participating as the sale progressed. There was confident bidding throughout the event, underlining that the combination of attractive stock and an engaged buyer base generates exceptional results,” commented Martin Woollam, General Manager Remarketing at VWFS.
All three physical auction lanes were running simultaneously, with lane one featuring SEAT and ŠKODA products, Volkswagen in lane two and Audi in lane three. With competitive bidding from physical and online buyers throughout the day, the event sold over 950 vehicles, equivalent to a 94.5% conversion and an average value of 101.64% of CAP Clean Underlining the demand from buyers, sales proceeds exceeded £12.6 million with an average selling price in excess of £13,300.
“This was a record breaking sale event for the BCA and VWFS partnership, with over 1,000 vehicles offered for physical sale from one seller on one day. VWFS offered a superb selection of desirable retail quality stock and it proved irresistible to our buyers,” said Craig Purvey BCA CCO.

The event ran smoothly, with BCA’s Perry Barr operational team receiving excellent feedback from both the buyers and the VWFS team who attended the sale.
