3T Logistics Wins CILT Award for Freight Transport

3T Logistics Wins CILT Award for Freight Transport

3T Logistics, Europe’s largest independent 4th Party Logistics provider and transport management technology supplier, has won the CILT Excellence Award for Freight Transport at the recent Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Annual Awards for Excellence.

The Institute picked 3T Logistics as the overall winner due to its entry demonstrating a “strong track record of success across several different clients, with a very clear delivery of financial benefits and improved efficiency, and an outstanding ability to deploy innovative technology to underpin best practice in the management of freight transport.”

Tim Fawkes, 3T Logistics’ managing director, received the award from HRH The Princess Royal at a prestigious ceremony held at London’s Royal Lancaster hotel. He said: “We are thrilled to have won such a competitive and prestigious industry award. It is great to see the innovative practices we have put in place with our customers getting such recognition.”

The award win comes on the back of some big wins in the manufacturing and aftermarket industries for the logistics technology company, whose clients include Honda, JCB, Klöckner Pentaplast, Weir and Aggreko. 3T Logistics’ Transport Management System (TMS), a key part of the award entry, was recognised in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transport Management Systems. Out of the 13 companies recognised globally in the Magic Quadrant, 3T Logistics is one of only two companies headquartered in the UK to be recognised.

Rob Hutton, sales and marketing director at 3T Logistics, also commented: “The CILT award caps a great year for us, and we are looking forward to 2020. In particular, we are excited by the growth in the US market and are looking to step up our expansion in the coming months. We have aggressive plans to triple our business in size in three years and are looking to consolidate our European and North American business to provide further significant growth, while increasing our global footprint in Asia, South America, Middle East and Africa.”
