2017 will see the 80th anniversary of the Federation of Engine Remanufacturers. The Federation will be celebrating this momentous anniversary throughout the year. It has been revealed that the group will be a continuation in the developments in order to stay at the top of the motor trade.

Over the course of the many years the Federation of Engine Remanufacturers has been in operation, the group members have expanded to operate in a number of different sectors, meaning that the Federation now consists of team members who are specialists in a number of areas to do with remanufacturing. The Federation of Engine Remanufacturing, or FER, has managed to develop a good reputation within the industry, and hopefully the organisation will be able to make the most of their knowledge and the experience gleaned by FER members in order to make sure they continue to meet the highest of standards possible.

Since the FER began to operate, being environmentally friendly has been important. The Federation focuses on remanufacturing engines that can then be put back into use across a range of different industries that make use of combustion engines. The organisation has grown and now has members that include some of the leading engine remanufacturing companies. All of the members of the FER work in compliance with the BS AU 257: 2002 British Standard of working.
The company was formed in 1937 and works towards to improve the standards of workmanship that is seen in the industry. It is thought that the FER is currently the only corporate body that has been set up in order to represent engine remanufacturing across the UK. The Federation makes sure that they offer a range of different services in order to help their members in any way they can. The services offered by the organisation includes technical support, dispute resolution and code of practice advice. Hopefully the next 80 years will prove to be as successful as the last for the remanufacturing Federation.
