Xplore Dundee is celebrating one year of its innovative mTicket app by giving one customer the chance to win a months’ worth of free bus travel. The bus operator’s already sold more than 125 000 tickets via smartphone in the first 12 months since the app went live.

”The mTicket app is proving very popular with many of our customers. Cashless transactions are becoming very much the norm now, and our app is free, easy to download and a secure way of carrying your bus ticket,” said Managing Director Christine McGlasson.

“There’s a wide range of ticket options too, which means that everyone, from children to young people to adult customers, can buy their tickets on the app, and benefit from the discounted fares there too, as they’re cheaper than buying paper tickets,” Christine added.

To celebrate a successful year of mTicketing, Xplore is launching the ‘Golden mTicket’ – whoever buys the 150 000th ticket via the app will win four weeks’ free bus travel. The mTicket app is available to download from the Google Play store or the Apple store and is compatible with both iPhones and Android.
