Placing family values and a care for people as the utmost priorities, Delta Coaches stands out as a coach travel specialist of nigh-on unrivalled professionalism and service.
Providing local, national, and international coach travel services, Delta Coaches (est. 2016) is a rising star within the industry. Family run and owned, the organisation has enjoyed rapid growth over the years, catalysed by its acquisition by the Cass family in 2021 and clear commitments to providing reliable, professional transport solutions with a personal approach. Underpinning this success has been a continued wave of investment into both the people and vehicles of Delta Coaches, with each representing a key component in the firm’s differentiator.
As of writing, Delta Coaches currently operates a fleet of 30 vehicles, including a range of 16-seat minibuses, 33-seat midi coaches, all the way up to 49/53-seat executive coaches and 75-seat high-capacity school buses. This ultimately ensures that Delta Coaches has a well-suited vehicle for just about every requirement, including everything from small private outings through large school contracts, and luxury touring work (such as for Leger Holidays).
Recent fleet investments include the addition of 1x Scania Irizar i8 built to full Leger Luxuria specification, representing an investment of over £400,000 in this vehicle alone. The vehicle reflects the firm’s commitment to premium quality travel experiences and features the latest comfort, safety, and touring technology currently available. Currently, the vehicle operates full-time on behalf of luxury tour operator and longstanding client, Leger Holidays.
As for the people behind the wheel, Delta Coaches has expanded its team quite significantly since 2016, but still maintains very much of a family-led value set. With all members of the Delta Coaches team effectively serving as part of the wider business family, the company has worked tirelessly to provide a supportive, collaborative, and communication-oriented workplace culture that inspires its drivers to be the best that they can be; and at least so far, it seems to be working.
Serving as evidence of the firm’s success, Delta Coaches has been consistently recognised by key clients, nodding to the firm’s commitments to driver standards and professionalism. Such recognition includes a number of awards won by Delta Coaches’ drivers through the Leger Shearings Group annual awards, which shone a spotlight on the hard work of the Delta Coach team.

Commenting on what it has meant to be recognised in the Leger Shearings Group annual awards, Dan Cass, Managing Director of Delta Coaches explained:
“For us, this recognition means a great deal because it reflects the professionalism, dedication and customer service standards our drivers deliver every day. Coach drivers are at the heart of our business, particularly within the touring sector, where they play such an important role in the overall customer experience.
“As a northern, family-run operator, it can sometimes feel like businesses such as ours quietly go about their work without getting any spotlight. However, seeing members of our team recognised by one of the UK’s leading tour operators makes us extremely proud and reinforces the values we try to build the company around.
“The awards achieved by our drivers are a reflection of the wider Delta team and the culture within the business. We place huge importance on customer service, professionalism and teamwork, and it is fantastic to see our staff recognised for the hard work and care they put into their roles every day.”
Going forward Delta Coaches has ambitions to sustainably grow the business for the next five years, including further expansion of the fleet with the planned addition of a number of new Euro 6 coaches. Yet, as an organisation which has always thrived as a family-oriented business, any and all growth is expected to be tempered by a severe emphasis on values, culture, and the people within the business that have made it the success that it is today.
“While we remain ambitious, it is also very important to us that we retain the family-run values and personal service that have helped shape the business into what it is today” shared Dan.
He added: “As a family-run operator, we place huge value on the relationships we build with both our customers and our staff. Our drivers, operations team, compliance Supervisor and accounts team are what make Delta Coaches what it is today, one big Delta family working together with the same shared values and commitment to delivering the highest standards possible.
“One thing we are particularly proud of is the passion shown by our drivers, some of whom have even created their own Facebook pages to share their journeys, tours and day-to-day experiences on the road. We love seeing the pride they take in their work and how they represent the Delta brand and values online. It reflects the strong team culture within the company and the genuine enthusiasm our staff have for both the industry and the customers they look after every day.”
Furthermore, Dan offered his thanks to key supply chain partners, stating that the firm’s ongoing investment has been made possible thanks to the great work and support of individuals like Kelly at Anglo Scottish.
