Airport Playing a Pivotal Part of Improving and Extending

An airport could be playing a pivotal part of improving and extending the cooperation between China and Central Eastern Europe. Hungary and Budapest Airport could be about to take a main role through the expansion of cooperation, according to an economic forum that has taken place. The forum was sponsored by the Consulate General of Hungary and took place in Shanghai. The forum also saw a number of other vital members in attendance, including representatives from the postal services, logistics and e-commerce operations and cargo airlines in both of the countries.

These developments follow two weeks after the “One Belt, One Road” initiative was discussed. This concept is quickly being transformed into a reality through work that is being carried out in Shanghai. The Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai has managed to organise a logistics forum in which there will be participation from a number of high ranking government officials from Hungary. Amongst these officials who are a part of the development of the concept is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Ministry of National Development.

At the forum in Shanghai the range of great opportunities on offer for companies working in China was highlighted. The opportunities for Chinese businesses to expand and break into markets in Central Eastern Europe can be made possible through the utilisation of Hungary and Budapest Airport. Budapest Airport has created a number of contracts and has managed to get into a written cooperation agreement with Ningbo International Airport which could improve the trade and commerce in both of the two regions.

Budapest Airport is quite unique in comparison to other airports in Europe as there is a capacity for improving and expanding cargo operations at the airport. Budapest and Hungary also have the runway space and land for logistical developments.
