UTC United Technologies Corp, has been selected to supply wheels and brakes to five of the world’s airlines: Alaska Airlines, Southwest, EasyJet, Icelandair and Lufthansa.

UTC Aerospace Systems will provide wheels and brakes to more than 375 aircraft; this includes both the Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320neo platforms.
UTC wheels and brakes are widely used across the commercial aviation industry, having already gathered more than 178 million brake landings in service on the Boeing Next-Generation 737 and around 85 million brake landings in service on the Airbus A320Neo.
The company brake systems include its proprietary DURACARB®, a carbon friction material. This allows for an average 35% longer brake life over competing carbon materials. The extended brake life helps airlines decrease maintenance time, therefore realising cost savings as a result.
