CityJet Expands London-Dublin Route

Independent airline responds to increased demand looking forward to 2015

CityJet has today announced a 25 per cent expansion of its London City to Dublin route and will put on up to nine flights every weekday as of 26 October 2014. CityJet will also start operating the earliest flight out of London City Airport with a 06:45 departure.

The independent airline currently serves over 250,000 passengers on the route every year with 94 per cent of all flights departing on time*. Now in the 20th year of operating on the London City to Dublin route, the latest expansion helps to further connect the two capital cities and thousands of businesses in the financial, media and technology sectors.

Commenting on the expansion, Patrick Lukan, CityJet’s Chief Commercial Officer said, “As an Irish-based carrier, the Dublin to London City route has always been, and remains, very important to us.  We continue to listen to our customers and they tell us that schedule and service are key to them making their buying decision which is why we have increased our all jet service to up to 9 flights a day out of close in London City Airport.  We’re proud to have serviced this route for more than 20 years and intend to continue to play a key part of the expansion of service between the two capitals.”
