CILT To Discuss The Future Of Aviation At The Liberal Democrat Political Party Conference

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) will host an informed and expert discussion at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference Today (Monday 6th October) in Glasgow. Panellists include Stephen Gilbert MP for St Austell and Newquay; Amanda McMillan OBE, Managing Director, Glasgow Airport; Guy Lavis, External Affairs Lead, TfL and Nigel Milton, Director of Policy & Political Relations, Heathrow Airport.

The panel will discuss ‘A vision for the future of aviation’ at 1pm in the Campanile Hotel, Glasgow. Agreeing the future direction of aviation policy is one of the most critical but also contentious challenges facing the UK. Airports and aviation play a vital role in the UK economy, contributing over £50bn a year to UK GDP and employing over 1 million.

CILT recently published a policy report titled The Future of Aviation and the report’s author, Paul Le Blond FCILT, will also discuss the findings of the policy report at this debate.
