Air Quality on the Agenda of a Key National Conference

With air quality and emissions levels hitting the national headlines on a regular basis, FTA, the leading business organisation which represents the interests of the logistics industry, is delighted to be partnering with the Air Quality News 2019 National Air Quality Conference. The event will be held at Lords Cricket Ground on 12 November 2019.

Acting as a learning and networking platform for businesses, local authorities and third sector organisations, the Conference will debate how policies can be delivered which offer quantifiable solutions across health, energy, urban design and transport.

“Air quality is a key concern for operators across the logistics sector,” says Christopher Snelling, Head of UK Policy at FTA, who will be speaking at the November Conference, “and huge strides have already been made by the freight industry to improve air quality. This event will provide delegates with the opportunity to identify and discuss new means of cleaning up the air that we breathe – a responsibility which sits with all sectors of society and business, not just one area of business.

“Logistics supports every area of our daily lives, both at work and at play, and the National Air Quality Conference will present the ideal opportunity to debate ways that the industry can continue to deliver what the nation needs, on time and on budget, without harming those it serves.”

Tickets for the one-day event are available from £95 for charities and £195 Early Bird private sector rate. For more information, or to book your place, please visit https://airqualitynews.com/event/national-air-quality-conference-12th-november-2019/

Efficient logistics is vital to keep Britain trading, directly having an impact on more than seven million people employed in the making, selling and moving of goods. With Brexit, new technology and other disruptive forces driving change in the way goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to UK plc. A champion and challenger, FTA speaks to Government with one voice on behalf of the whole sector, with members from the road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers.
