Air Partner Appoints New Non-Executive Director
Peter Saunders will be joining the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 18 September 2014. Peter will also be appointed as a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee with effect from 2 December 2014. Peter currently serves as a non-executive director of Canadian Tire Corporation Limited, a multi-billion dollar Canadian retail giant, Godiva Chocolatier NV, a prestige chocolate branded retailer, Total Wine & More, one of the leading wine, spirits and beer retailers in the USA and Jack Wills Ltd, the British clothing brand. He was Chairman of The Body Shop International plc from 2008 to 2009, having served as their Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2008. In addition Peter also served as non-executive director of The Second Cup Ltd, a Canadian Speciality Coffee Chain. He earned his Bachelor of Science from McGill University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
Peter replaces current Independent Non-Executive Director, Chuck Pollard, who has decided after five years to step down from the Board and as a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees with effect from 2 December 2014. Chuck joined the Air Partner Board in July 2009 and brought to the Company, over 20 years’ experience of the international non-scheduled airline industry as the former CEO of OmniAir International and World Airways.
