Details of IAAF’s next two Industry Briefing Sessions have been announced, taking place in October and November respectively. The next IAAF industry briefing will take place at ECCO Safety Group in Leeds on the 18th of October before heading to Premier League club Watford F.C on the 15th of November.
The third Industry Briefing Session of 2018 will take place at ECCO Safety Group’s new EMEA HQ in Leeds, where the main guest speaker will be Julian Lloyd, managing director of ProVQ, one of the largest approved motor industry training providers. Julian will be explaining how to help make staff the best they can be, by fully exploiting the recent change in Government policy, which financially encourages companies of all sizes to actively embrace this through the sourcing of quality training programmes.
Following lunch, there will be a tour of ESG’s engineering and testing facility where products are manufactured and stamped to meet the “The ECCO Standard”, as well as a tour of its operations facility, which produces ECCO safety solutions for the aftermarket, including warning lights, alarms and sirens and a range of products under the Code 3 brand for Emergency systems.
Hornets’ home of Watford F.C will be the place for the November event, jointly organised by IAAF nad Johnson Controls. The industry briefing will cover all the latest activity from the Federation and this time will also feature an update from Steve Carter of Train 4 Auto Consultancy Ltd. Steve will be giving an overview on some of the rapid changes taking place with Hybrid, PHEV and Hydrogen Fuel Celled vehicles, aiming to raise awareness among members in order for them to consider their business model in relation to the rise in alternative fuelled vehicles.
Furthermore, Head of Membership Development Mike Smallbone will also be updating members on the latest industry happenings over the past few months, including the IAAF’s recent lobbying activity regarding European legislation on Type-Approval and access to in-vehicle data, plus recent developments concerning the Your Car Your Choice campaign. Smallbone will also be sharing other news and planned activity for the remainder of the year with delegates, including its Annual Conference and Awards Dinner 2018.
Both Leeds and Watford sessions will finish at around 1.00pm with a lunch that will offer delegates the opportunity to network with fellow members.
