IMHX 2019, the long running exhibition for the logistics sector, is on its way to deliver a massive array of intralogistics and supply chain solutions under one roof. With over one year remaining until the event opens its doors in September 2019, only 20% of the stand space within the halls of the NEC remains available.
“The online shopping boom is fuelling demand for greater and ever more efficient logistics services which, in turn, means that interest in advanced logistics technology and equipment is extremely high,” said Rob Fisher, IMHX 2019 event director. “Businesses appear to be optimistic about the future and are looking to invest in materials handling solutions that boost supply chain efficiency.”
Dave Berridge, Secretary of the Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA), echoes that view. He comments: “It is no surprise that so many members of AMHSA have committed to IMHX 2019. The existing and predicted labour shortages combined with the shift in order profile that e-commerce is driving in UK distribution centres are resulting in a trend for more warehouse automation, so interest in automated solutions is very strong.”
ABB, Crown Lift Trucks, Doosan, SSI Schaefer, Toyota Material Handling, Daifuku, Knapp and Transdek are among the most recent international companies to have confirmed their participation as exhibitors.
“IMHX is the ‘go to’ event for seeing and testing the very latest products and services from the logistics, materials handling and storage industries. SSI Schaefer will be using IMHX 2019 to showcase many of our latest innovations and we are planning live demonstrations throughout the event. We have lots to talk about,” said Mike Alibone, Business Development and Marketing Manager at SSI Schaefer.
Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, between the 24th and the 27th of September 2019, IMHX 2019 is sponsored by Investec Asset Finance plc.
