Generation Logistics Awards 2026: Talent Advocate Award

Generation Logistics Awards 2026 – The Talent Advocate Award : Ian Jones has taken home an award. For over 35 years, Ian has championed talent and career development at Asda Logistics, rising from an hourly-paid colleague to a senior leader overseeing 65+ colleagues and a £20 million budget.

Ian won The Talent Advocate Award, which honours an experienced colleague who really champions and advocates for early talent.

His work was recently recognised at the 2026 Generation Logistics Awards, a national awards celebrating talent who are helping to shape the future of the sector. The awards are run by Generation Logistics, a sector-led careers awareness campaign designed to shine a light on the people powering logistics and encourage young people to explore careers in the sector.

He’s developed future leaders, achieved 60% female representation in his management team, and supported Generation Logistics by engaging 200+ students to inspire the next generation.

Our judges said: “Ian is a passionate advocate whose impact on logistics talent spans generations.”

Bethany Windsor, Programme Director at Generation Logistics, added:

“As the logistics sector continues to evolve, stories like Ian’s demonstrate how early-career professionals are making a real difference – not just in how goods move but in how people thrive within the sector.
