A long-standing member of the FORS scheme, D&G Noble has continued its track record with the accreditation by once again achieving FORS Gold this year.
Based out of Bedford, D&G Noble (founded in 1962) is a prominent family-run haulage contractor that has successfully developed a reputation for high quality, tailored services, and a real attention to detail. Impressively, 2024 marks D&G Noble’s 10th year as a FORS Gold accredited contractor, firmly placing the company as a role model within the wider haulage industry and consequently positioning the firm in a very strong commercial position for the future. We’ll take a closer look at D&G Noble, its capabilities, and what this year’s success perhaps means for the company.
As an overarching summary, D&G Noble combines traditional day-to-day haulage services with a range of additional specialist capabilities related to machinery logistics (able to position, transport, re-locate and remove machines from a variety of operational environments) and project management. Backed by an in-house management team, D&G Noble is able to deliver bespoke services, acutely tailored towards the unique needs and requirements of any particular client or project; key specialist talent available to clients includes: Appointed Persons (AP), crane and lift supervisors, and slingers or signallers.
Backing up D&G Noble’s talent is an expansive and diverse fleet of vehicles which affords the company much of its unique capabilities; this includes: 44 tonne artic trailers, 32 tonne Moffett forklifts, small and large cranes (ranging from as small as 12 tonne to as large as 82 tonne), rigid and artic powder tankers, and a number of vans and light goods vehicles for smaller loads or for escorting. This ultimately offers D&G Noble a supreme level of flexibility in contracts, able to simplify and support some of the more challenging jobs in the market.
Offering some insight into the company’s capabilities, the firm itself explains: “Our in house management team are well prepared to offer you the right solution to what ever your project entails. Project plans can be put in place for any of our crane vehicles, ranging from 12 tonne to 82 tonne. All of our lifting plans and management strategies are produced in line with the necessary laws, specifically BS7121 and LOLER lifting operations and equipment regulations.”
Concerning key accreditations, D&G Noble not only maintains FORS Gold, but is also a CLOCS Champion and is Crossrail approved. Through these accreditations and standards, D&G Noble thoroughly proves its commitment to core areas of corporate social responsibility as well as in the firm’s operational capability to deliver into some of the most demanding projects and contracts in the country – including the likes of HS2, for which D&G Noble argues it is the “perfect fit”.
As for D&G Noble’s track record with FORS specifically, the company first gained FORS Gold in 2012 after working its way up through the Bronze and Silver FORS scheme in prior years.
