Fleet Management Seminar this May

Fleet Management Seminar this May

This year’s ACFO spring seminar will focus on ‘Let’s Explore: Fleet Management for Today and Tomorrow’ and fleet managers are being urged to book their places. The changes that are happening in fleet management and their impact on vehicles, drivers and journeys will be discussed on the 18th of May at the Vox Conference Centre, Resorts World, Birmingham, starting with 10am.

The seminar is sponsored by TomTom Telematics, a business unit of TomTom dedicated to fleet management, vehicle telematics and connected car services, and Lex Autolease, the UK’s largest contract hire and leasing company.

The event will have a few discussion conducted by speakers such as Thomas Schmidt, managing director at TomTom Telematics, Craig McNaughton, corporate director at Lex Autolease and many more. There will also be a ‘Question Time’ panel, chaired by ACFO national chairman John Pryor, with guests who will include: Chris Chandler, principal consultant, Lex Autolease; and Justin Whitson, chief executive of Fleetondemand, one of Europe’s business Mobility-as-a-Service (BMaaS) leaders as well as some of the speakers.

“Technological and digital advances are changing the established face of fleet management as we have known it for many years. The array of expert speakers will provide insight and practical advice in specific areas affecting businesses and fleet decision-makers now and in the future that will enable them to operate more efficiently and effectively now, and plan better for the future,” said John Pryor.

“Change inevitably brings uncertainty and while fleet managers should not be afraid of the advances being made, it is essential that they understand how the ‘connected car’, BMaaS and driver demands must be balanced against running a business-critical vehicle fleet that is fit-for-purpose. What’s more, compliance is essential and fleet managers remain concerned as to how the new General Data Protection Regulation, which becomes effective on 25th May, will impact on their operations,” he continued.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to network and discover how ‘connected vehicles’ and fleet management technologies can play an increasingly important role in helping them manage their mobile workforce.
