IVECO has supplied a duo of 18-tonne Eurocargo skip loaders from their DriveAway range of vehicles. This range from the vehicle manufacturer offers a variety of ready-bodies vehicles, two of which have been delivered to Brown Recycling, which is the largest waste management company in Staffordshire.

IVECO has manufactured and supplied two 4×2 rigids which have been fitted with Boughton bodywork to the company. Brown Recycling were able to purchase these Eurocargo Skip loaders directly from their local IVECO dealer, Sherwood Truck & Vans forecourt. The nearby location of the IVECO dealer meant that the two trucks could be put into operation as soon as they had been painted in the customer’s stand out brown livery.

The delivery of this pair of 18-tonne 4×2 rigids is a great achievement for IVECO as the new vehicles will be joining Brown Recycling’s fleet of 40 vehicles mainly supplied by competitors. The new arrivals to Brown Recycling’s fleet will work to transport full and empty skip loads between the company’s depots which are located in Crewe, Leek, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford. The vehicles have been purchased in order to replace older models and it has been expected that they will remain in service for five years.

The Managing Director at Brown Recycling said that the deciding factor when choosing IVECO for these replacement vehicles was the manufacturer’s recent expansion of the DriveAway range. When comparing the range with those from other manufacturers, IVECO proved to be the best for vehicle lead times. It was an added benefit that IVECO has access to pre-bodied vehicles direct from the forecourt, allowing the company to simplify the entire buying process and meant that Brown Recycling were only required to manage a single point of contact at the dealers from the start to the end of the purchasing process.
