IAG Cargo has announced that they are making a number of changes to their executive team that are thought to benefit the future plans for the company. IAG have said that these key changes will help to ensure that the executive team is aligned with their business priorities.
IAG Cargo is one of the world’s leading air cargo providers, working with a number of high profile companies and formed following the merger of British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo, which took place in April 2011. The company focus on offering a single network for their customers to enjoy easy and convenient transportation access to more than 350 different locations.
The new changes include the creation of new roles as well as the expansion of existing responsibilities of those in the team. The appointments include the move of the Commercial Director, David Shepherd, to the newly created role of Director of Digital Ventures. This role will help the company to make better use of the opportunities that technology can bring to the industry. The company have also introduced a new Director of Sales, Marketing and Product, with Camilo Garcia being given the opportunity to make the most of his talent and knowledge to help the company develop. The new role of Director of Worldwide Operations position. this new role will be taken on by Lynn McClelland, who in her new role will have overall accountability for the global operations of the company outside of Spain, having added regional operations and customer service on to her roles and responsibilities at IAG Cargo.
The intention of this expanded executive team is to drive performance across their offerings of premium products, digital transformations, customer service and global operations. The improvements have been announced following the company’s strong business results in the third quarter.
