Ogilvie Group, the parent company of the Ogilvie Fleet has recently acquired a privately-owned Active Auto Solutions. The takeover of the company has taken place for an undisclosed sum. Active Auto Solutions was first formed in February 2007 and has experienced growth year on year. The company works to handle claims and support services for fleets and clients of commercial insurance brokers and intermediaries after accidents and incidents across the UK.
Active Auto Solutions also offer temporary vehicles for their customers following a collision. Ogilvie Fleet has been planning on launching a standalone rental division within the sector and notes that Active Auto offers services that compliment this ambition. Ogilvie is a multi award-winning privately-owned contract hire and leasing company and has managed a significant level of short-term hire business growth over the past few years.
Ogilvie will still work in partnership with their established accident management provider in order to offer their customers a comprehensive range of services across all aspects of the sector. After the acquisition, Auto Active Solutions will join Ogilvie Group and operate alongside Ogilvie Fleet. The newly acquired company will still be managed by director James Parczuk. Ogilvie Group has purchased the automotive solutions company from James and his fellow founding shareholder, Kevin Paul and Rob Wilkinson. Kevin and Rob are both retired from this industry.
The acquisition means that Active Auto Solutions will be able to improve the efficiency of their business as well as use the expertise and resources of Ogilvie in order to boost fleet expertise. Ogilvie will also provide Active Auto access to working capital that will allow the company to expand further and could in the future lead to the company having its own fleet. This acquisition provides an exciting opportunity for both companies and hopefully will lead to expansion going forward.
