Boughey Distribution has appointed a new Warehouse Operations Director. The company, known for being a leading specialist of ambient grocery distribution has revealed news of the appointment which has been made through internal promotion. Danny Earp has been promoted to the position of Warehouse Operations Director after working for the company for around 13 years.
Danny Earp first joined the company in September 2004 and since then he has developed a range of different skills and has quickly been promoted up the ranks. Danny joined the company straight after University, starting off as a warehouse clerk. This first role was set to be a position that lasted 8 weeks, but Danny proved himself and managed to earn a permanent role within the company. Danny Earp has carried out a number of different roles within the company, staying within the warehousing operations aspect of the business. Having experience in a number of different roles is vital experience for Danny, as he has an in depth understanding of the challenges that face the people in each role. This is vital knowledge that will help Danny succeed as Warehouse Operations Director.
Danny has spent time as the IT manager at Boughey and played a leading role in the successful implementation of the company’s SAP implementation. This experience and his approach throughout the implementation directly led to his most recent promotion. The implementation of the SAP is one of Danny’s most significant achievements since joining the company. This SAP implementation process took two years and was eventually led by Danny.
Danny Earp’s new role as Warehouse Operations Director will offer him a whole host of new challenges to tackle as he looks at ways to further improve the company’s efficiencies in order to meet the ever increasing expectation of their customers while still offering the best quality service possible.
