ACS&T Logistics, a subsidiary of the international group Camellia Plc,  has added 13 new trailers to their fleet with the assistance of Carrier Transicold. The food logistics company that is based in Grimsby has worked with Carrier Transicold in order to upgrade their fleets with the inclusion of the Vector™ 1550 refrigeration units. These vehicles have been chosen by ACS&T Logistics for their reputation for being reliable and fuel efficient.

Keeping the fleet on the road as much as possible, with few maintenance and problems incidents are important to the food logistics company, as this will mean that the business as a whole can then operate more efficiently. The fuel consumption of a new fleet vehicle is also vital, as these new trucks being more fuel efficient will help ACS&T Logistics save more money normally spent on fuel.

The national fleet engineer at ACS&T Logistics, Derrick West has said that how the fleet operated is directly reflective of how the business operates, cost efficient and reliable vehicles means that the business can operate in the same way. Being able to carry out their contracts reliably and efficiently for a good price means that they are able to outperform the competition and maintain the custom of their major clients and continue to be successful in the sector.

The new Vector 1550 units are thought to be both powerful and efficient and has excellent standards of temperature control and versatility. This is because of the patented combination of hermetic compressor and economiser. The 13.6 meter Gray & Adams trailers t will continue to operate until at least 2027 and will become a part of a fleet consisting of 39 tractor units and 100 trailers. The trucks are expected to carry out 95,000 miles each year while carrying out their trunking operations.
