Kavis, the company that manufactures and supplies disposable food and catering products as well as packaging and utensils has announced that they have outsourced the management of their UK B2C supply chain to Walker Logistics.

The Disposable food and catering product supplier have needed to outsource the management of their products after after they experienced a growth in their online sales to consumers that use disposable catering products for parties or larger social occasions. The growth is good news for the company who have had to use a third party logistics partner now in order to fulfill their orders.

Walker Logistics will assist Kavis and help them meet the demand they are experiencing in their B2C operations. Going forward, the logistics company will also look into assisting with Kavis’ larger B2B accounts. The future looks promising for the partnership between Walker Logistics and Kavis.

The online business for Kavis has seen a significant amount of growth and the company made the decision to form a partnership with a third party logistics company as a way of making sure that they are accurately and efficiently picking, packing and dispatching their smaller orders to clients.  Also a third party logistics operator will give Kavis the knowledge and expertise to deliver full pallet loads of products to Kavis’ more traditional customer base which is large catering firms.

Walker Logistics will be assisting Kavis by receiving the company’s incoming stock and the organise and dispatch the orders that have been place around the UK for Kavis. This operation will take place in their 230,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility that accommodated the supplies of a number of Walker’s clients. The Warehouse for this new operation is located outside Reading. The Logistics company will be focused on making sure that they meet Kavis’ current supply chain requirement as well as preparing and advising for more growth in their supply chain in the future.
