It has been announced that Abbey Logistics has appointed a new Group Head of HR. The role has been given to Marcia Findlay, who will now be responsible for a full variety of different HR functions. Findlay will be involved with employee relations as well as training and development, reward and recognition.
It is thought that Marcia Findlay’s appointment as the Group Head of HR will lead to the strengthening of the logistics group management team. Abbey Logistics already has a high calibre team of manager, however the addition of Marcia Findlay will support the team during a period that the logistics business is expecting to experience an increase in growth. The company has now added more than 100 employees as a part of their acquisition of Armet Logistics, the liquid food tanker company.
The announcement of Marcia Findlay’s appointment was made by the CEO of Abbey Logistics, Steve Granite. Abbey Logistics has been running for the last 25 years and is developing in to a European as well as National transport company through a strong and motivated workforce. Marcia has a track record of being able to deliver HR as well as organizational change to a variety of other complex businesses.
Marcia Findlay has joined Abbey Logistics after working for Travelodge. In her previous role Marcia was the HR Projects Manager, and also has other experience within a mixture of different senior HR roles. The different businesses that Marcia has worked for tin the past includes Bibby Distribution and Asda.
With Abbey Logistics striving to expand their company, the business has been able to achieve a lot in a relatively short space of time. Therefore, Marcia will be a welcome asset to the business as she takes on her role as Group Head of HR for a business that is said to include a number of talented individuals.
