Network Rail has reported recently that there has been a surge in public opinion supporting the upgrades that are taking place all over the country and are happy that this is a sign that they are heading in the right direction for improving the satisfaction rates of their passengers. Since the collaboration of Transport Focus, which is an independent watchdog that looks at the public opinion of those traveling on board trains that are affected by disruptions and alterations, it has been reported that 99 per cent of Network Rail’s activities around Britain have been met with the approval of the locals.

Equally, through the implementation of new scoring cards along lines that are being affected, Network Rail hopes to be able to improve its customer services by actively encouraging members of the public to voice their opinions about what is happening to the railways that they use. This unison between transport company and traveler is something that Network Rail place a great deal of value in and they are very pleased that the vast majority of their plans seem to have been met with the approval of the populace. No thanks to Chris Grayling MP of course, who finds it agreeable every now and again to make a smug statement about the way things are going for rail users in the country, although being a Tory he probably still uses a horse and carriage to get to “work.”

Nevertheless, the Secretary of State for Transport is pleased that the transitional operations to improve the railway services around the country are going so well and that they seem to be appreciated on a local as well as a corporate level. Indeed, Anthony Smith of Transport Focus is pleased that the watchdog has had the chance to let the voice of the people be heard in these developments that are taking place throughout the country.
