The Greater Manchester area, specifically in the area of Heaton Chapel, will be the latest area of the railway networks in the north of England to benefit from some changes that will improve its services for the better in the years to come. The repair works are valued to cost around half a million pounds and it is evident that this is an ambitious development by Network Rail and the members of Stockport Council who will ensure that the works are completed to the level of detail and accuracy that is required. A grand total of £300,0000 will be devoted towards changing the roof structure of the Heaton Chapel railway station and the council will ensure that better lighting is put into place in order to ensure that the safety and comfort of those commuting is improved more than ever before for people traveling in and out of the station and wanting to benefit from the services that it has to offer.
The building will also be given a brand new makeover that will include the installation of new windows as well as a necessary paint job to add just that little extra finish of quality to the station. Indeed, Ann Coffey the Member of Parliament representing Stockport is very pleased that the work is underway to improve the much-used station and she believes that the initiative undertaken by workers and the local council will ensure that the entire constituency will be able to benefit from these new redevelopments to the structure of the station.
Furthermore, Mister Alex Ganotis of Stockport Council has added that despite the access problems that would have affected some commuters and travelers during the necessary refurbishment period, it is clear that those repairs were necessarily for the best and will ensure that the station is well up and running in the future. Set to be finished by 10th March of this year, Heaton Chapel station will be an even more welcoming and useful structure to its citizens than it is already.
