A new set of cameras are due to be put into operation in order to ensure the safety of British passengers and travelers in the West Sussex area of Yapton. This has been implemented by Network Rail to ensure that drivers of vehicles are more vigilant than ever in the West Sussex area and can now be held accountable if they are found to be breaching safety regulations that are putting the levels of people at the level crossings in danger. It has been reported on a number of occasions that Yapton is a station that has suffered much ill use in the recent past, and it is reportedly a daily occurrence there when drivers rush through the level crossing barrier just in time before the train arrives.

Indeed, on one particular occasion not so long go, the damages and disruption caused by a car getting stuck on the tracks resulted in the railway sector losing £160,000 in order to deal with the cancellations and issues that occurred as a result of the driver being stuck on the tracks. Indeed, the routing MD of Network Rail Mister John Halsall has voiced his concerns that the abuse of the level crossing system at Yapton needs to be prevented from causing harm in the future. It is evidently hoped by all concerned that the implementation of security cameras in the vicinity of the level crossing will encourage drivers in Yapton to be more careful than ever and that they respect the use of the level crossing. Indeed, if these cameras are a success the security of Yapton train passengers and drivers will be assured to an even greater extent.

Furthermore, the fact that these camera systems have been in place across selected train stations in Britain since the year 2015 should help Network Rail to determine whether or not it is the best way of deterring driver s from abusing the level crossing systems of those train stations.
