TVS Supply Chain Solutions Wins Major Logistics Awards
TVS Supply Chain Solutions, the Chorley-based logistics and supply chain company, was awarded a major national logistics industry award last week.
On Thursday March 20th, Martin Warington from TVS was presented with the Operations (Large) Award at the SHD Logistics Awards, hosted by comedian Miles Jupp, at London’s Park Lane Hotel.
The event celebrates excellence in the logistics and intra-logistics sector, across ten major categories.
TVS won for its outstanding work on behalf of its customer, Molson Coors and its 150 field-based engineers, who install, maintain and repair fonts and other dispensing equipment in over 60,000 pubs, clubs and bars in the UK.
In particular, TVS supplies 200,000 lines with 36,000 orders made per annum to the Molson Coors field-based engineers. TVS ensures a disciplined and structured process management, which includes parts sourcing and procurement; demand forecasting and inventory management; supplier management; product storage, warehousing and multiple delivery channels; live, web-based product ordering systems through a bespoke Electronic Parts Catalogue; parts refurbishment and reverse logistics.
The award was presented to Martin Warington by Tony Wallis, Sales & Marketing Director of Toyota Material Handling UK who were sponsoring the event.
Peter MacLeod, Editor of SHD Logistics, said: “The mood of the evening was celebratory and upbeat, and it was heartening to see the obvious delight and pride shown by the winners. I congratulate TVS Supply Chain Solutions – a very deserving winner.”
He continued: “The submission from Molson Coors and TVS Supply Chain Solutions was a strong one in a category that attracted a lot of interest from household-name companies. The entry ticked the boxes in the criteria the judges were looking for, and the figures supplied with the entry obviously caught their eye.
“We are delighted to be able to put TVS’s name on the Operations (Large) trophy at the first-ever SHD Logistics Award, and wish TVS and Molson Coors a long and successful partnership.
Martin Warington, Business Development Director at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, commented: “This award is testament to the hard work of everyone at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, in particular the Molson Coors account team who provide an outstanding level of support and service to a very important client. The proof of their hard work lies in the fact that, since the contract’s inception, more than £360,000 of cost saving has been taken out of the Molson Coors supply chain, without any impact on the quality of service to their field-based engineers. ”
Other winners on the night across 10 main categories included: Marks & Spencer, Palletline, Norbert Dentressangle, Fresh Logistics, Babcock International, Vantec Europe, Wiley with Storage Aspects and Chichester Haulage, Europa Worldwide Logistics, Barfoots of Botley and Partner Logistics. Highly commended on the night, were FedEx Express and World Duty Free Group with Allport Cargo Services.
