Transdek Offers Unique ‘Try Before You Buy’ Services For Double Deck Lifts

Double deck specialist Transdek UK is offering two unique loading bay trial options to transport and logistics operators considering investment in double deck trailers.

The first option provides an opportunity for potential customers to test the compatibility of their trailers with the company’s award winning lifts at its Yorkshire production facility. It also offers a forum for operators to get hands-on with the equipment and make bespoke adjustments prior to ordering for complete peace of mind.

“This is especially important in the double deck sector, where the marriage of trailers and loading systems is often more complex and critical than with more generic single deck operations. We’ve introduced our new trial services to ensure optimal synergy from the outset,” explains Dean Butler, Operations Manager at Transdek.

“Our factory trial option is an ideal opportunity to bring vehicles to Transdek’s manufacturing site, where companies can see the double deck lifts in action and ensure their suitability for the fleet they operate. This also allows us to demonstrate the fast loading speeds, built in safety features and overall flexibility of our systems.”

A growing number of customers are choosing trial options, such as dairy giant Arla Foods, which placed an order for six lifts to service its fleet of combination trailers after a trial at Transdek’s factory.

Transdek also offers short-term ‘trial-to-buy’ contracts for its modular loadhouse systems, where one or more systems are integrated into the customer’s distribution network for a specified period. This trial option relies on Transdek’s unique capability to install (and uplift) its lifts within one to two days.

Butler comments: “The option of a short-term trial at a company’s warehouse or distribution centre provides a rare opportunity to establish potential cost savings in a fully working environment before fully committing to a purchase. This way managers can discuss specific requirements with experienced engineers, gain an invaluable operational insight and be confident of making a more informed decision.”

The on-site ‘trial-to-buy’ scheme incurs a nominal cost to cover lift installation, which is deducted from the final lift price, should the trial progress to a purchase. Both trial options allow operators to prove the compatibility and feasibility of double deck operations prior to major capital expenditure.
