George Kyriatzis has been appointed as Head of Information Technology at Rico Logistics. He will be instrumental in the development of the IT strategy to help the business achieve its business objectives. The IT solutions will be designed, implemented and supported by his teams to improve business and infrastructure systems for both internal and external users.
Rico Logistics Develops Its IT Infrastructure To Help Achieve Growth
The Rico Group, with its head office in Slough, Berkshire, has grown to become one of Europe’s largest field service logistics organisations operating in 12 European countries and India. It has 38 locations across the UK and Ireland.
Having been acquired by TVS Logistics Services Ltd in 2012 the company is in a strong position to continue to expand its offering across Europe and world-wide.
George commented on his new appointment: “Rico has ambitious growth plans and I am very excited to be part of a business that is focussed on achieving continued success. IT underpins everything Rico does and the use of smart technology is a growing area which will help our business partners with their daily challenges and difficulties.”
George Kyriatzis previously worked for Annata UK Limited, an independent software vendor to Microsoft. There he helped develop software solutions for the automotive and equipment industries. Before that he was responsible for the IT in one of Greece’s largest importers and sellers of vehicles, motorcycles and motor engines at the Saracakis group of companies, which represented brands like Honda, Mitsubishi Motors, Volvo, Renault Trucks and Komatsu. Earlier in his career, George also worked in several leadership roles in SC Johnson for over 13 years.
