Paris To Sherburn Charity Cycle Ride June 2014
A team of mainly Truck drivers working for Wincanton PLC on a dedicated Sainsbury’s contract based in Sherburn near Leeds are going to cycle from Paris to Sherburn setting out on Sunday the 1st of June 2014. Their target is to raise £20,000 for Cyclists Fighting Cancer & Sport Relief.
Cyclists Fighting Cancer provide Bikes Trikes and adapted Hand Karts to children with Cancer and for post cancer recovery – this equipment is fantastically welcomed by the kids and their parents. Some truly heart warming stories can be seen here; www.cyclistsfc.org.uk
Sport Relief needs very little introduction due to the huge amount of good work that they do every year. They are a fantastic charity well worthy of our support and efforts (see www.sportrelief.com for more information).
The event will cover some 600 plus miles over 8 days and ties in well with the Tour de France Grande Depart being staged from Leeds the following month on the 5th of July.
