Latest Warehouse And Logistics Products Set To Launch At Foodex 2014

Foodex 2014, the UK’s premier trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging and logistics industries, is returning to the NEC to offer a one-stop shop for warehouse and logistics trends across the full industry spectrum including bakery, beverage, dairy, fresh, ingredients, logistics, meat and seafood sectors.

Run over three days (24-26 March 2014) at the NEC, Birmingham, the show will demonstrate how professionals in the processing, packaging, manufacturing, distribution and logistics industries can improve logistics management, the supply chain, storage, handling and the latest distribution trends to make an impression on the industry.

Visitors to the show can find out about the latest innovations with a number of exhibitors launching new products and services catered for the warehousing and logistics industries, including:

Appearing at Foodex 2014 for the first time, DEMO Protezioni Antiurto Srl will showcase STOMMPY® – a revolutionary shockproof bumper system designed to protect doors, walls, machinery and storage equipment in the workplace and to safeguard the health and safety of workers. Working with its newly appointed distributor, Raxel Storage Systems, the UK launch on stand H350 will offer a wider range of STOMMPY® products that will provide protective workplace and hygienic solutions designed to meet the needs of industrial and commercial business sectors.

Over on stand P379, Savigny Oddie Ltd will showcase its new British made sliding door track system. Already in use by a leading UK supermarket chain, Drop Tac is designed to provide a robust, hygienic and cost effective solution for cold stores and freezer room doors. It is fully tested and approved by the BRE and will be demonstrated live on the stand.

Also appearing at Foodex 2014, John Lord on stand H289 will reveal the importance of choosing the correct flooring for maximum safety and efficiency around the workplace. The specialist flooring manufacturer, who recently completed an installation at the Walkers snack food factory in Coventry, will highlight the specific requirements for the food and drink industry including durability, cleanability, chemical resistant and anti-slip properties, which all contribute to a safe and hygienic warehousing or manufacturing environment.

Visitors at Foodex 2014 can also join a series of extensive seminars and talks at this year’s show, which will see Kevin Newton, SCALA Senior Partner and Secretary General of the Chartered Institute of Logistics taking the stand to discuss supply chain customer strategies. The talk will highlight the need to put service at the heart of every supply chain process as well as offering advice on creating a successful customer strategy that meets your business goals and customer ambitions.

Brand-new for this years show, Foodex Engage and Foodex Engage VIP will allow visitors to search and contact exhibitors before the show, request and set diary dates for meetings and seminars and allow users to save exhibitors and products as favourites.
