BCA Announced Development Programme

BCA will start a major development programme at the Nottingham remarketing and defleet centre, which includes the building of a new auction lane complex that will add significantly to the facility’s volume and throughput. Work commenced immediately after Easter and it will be ready to open in autumn this year.

“We are delighted to announce that a major development programme to further improve facilities at our BCA Nottingham auction centre is now underway. The all-new building featuring dual back-to-back auction lanes will offer buyers an improved customer experience and an even bigger choice of stock. Our vendor customers will enjoy more opportunities to sell their stock more frequently to the UK’s biggest buyer base,” said Stuart Pearson, BCA MD UK Remarketing.

The new building will feature two back to back auction lanes with central Barista bar. On completion, the complex will improve efficiency and throughput and BCA Nottingham will introduce a new enhanced sales programme, featuring additional sale events and specialist auctions. With capacity for 500 vehicles undercover, BCA Nottingham will sell up to five days a week on completion of the new development.

BCA Nottingham offers a full range of remarketing and defleet services. The 32-acre site opened in 1994 and will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2019. It touches over 3.5 million vehicles a year, working with OEMs, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of the UK’s automotive supply chain.

From technical and logistics services for new vehicles, refurbishment, storage and logistics for the growing used sector and the core remarketing and auction operation, BCA offers the economies of scale and diversity of services to meet the needs of an impressive portfolio of customers.

As the automotive industry faces a period of unprecedented change, BCA is uniquely placed to deliver a range of linked services through the combined infrastructure of regional de-fleet facilities, vehicle logistics and preparation centres and physical, hybrid and digital remarketing channels.
