A member of staff at a Mitsubishi dealership in Bilston raised more than £300 when he took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s Brave the Shave campaign.

Josh Ince, a technician at Autosales Mitsubishi, decided to have his head shaved after looking for a way to support the charity.

The 23-year-old, from Oldbury, said: ‘I’m lucky that I haven’t lost anyone in my family to cancer but an estimated one in three people will develop cancer so at some point a loved one could suffer from it. There are a lot of people out there that need the support of Macmillan and that’s why I wanted to do this. I wanted to help in any way I can because the charity needs all the funding it can get.’

Brave the Shave has already raised more than £1.6m for Macmillan Cancer Support, with thousands of men and women taking part.

Claire Monks, Macmillan spokesperson said: ‘We are extremely grateful to Josh for taking part in ‘Brave the Shave’ and raising this fantastic amount. Macmillan Cancer Support is only able to continue to make a difference for people affected by cancer through the generosity of people like Josh. No-one should face cancer alone, and with the continued help of everyone who supports us , no-one will.’
