The Director of Arnold Clark, Stewart MacAulay, has been appointed as the new Group Autoparts Director, based at the company’s head office in Glasgow.

As a Group Aftersales Director, Stewart will bring to the independent aftermarket a wealth of experience accumulated throughout the 30 years that he has spent working at Arnold Clark. The new role will see him responsible for overseeing the successful running of all factor businesses within the group and ensuring their continued success and development.

“I am looking forward to playing a more specific role within the factor businesses – Autoparts UK and Midwest Motor Factors – and working to ensure we take advantage of any opportunities to develop our proposition further,” said Stewart MacAulay.

Established in 1954, Arnold Clark is Europe’s largest privately owned dealership group. It acquired West Midlands based Midwest Factors in 2015 to enrich its growth and it employs now more than 80 members of staff and operates a fleet of over 45 delivery vehicles from five different location throughout the Black Country, including Bilston, Brownhills, Rugeley, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich.

Autoparts started in 1991 as part of Arnold Clark and since then it has grown at a considerable rate, becoming one of the fastest growing car parts distributors in the UK. With 12 branches across Scotland and the North of England, including a 70,000 square foot distribution warehouse in Glasgow, it sells 60,000 different parts to trade customers and employs more than 100 staff.
