A Hertfordshire logistics specialist has underlined its commitment to operational excellence by retaining the retail industry’s A standard for storage and distribution. Letchworth Garden City-based Aztek Logistics has attained the supply chain accreditation for the eighth consecutive year.

The company secured the BRCGS award after extensive and far-reaching audits into its supply chain practices and procedures, alongside an analysis of its storage and distribution facilities and vehicles. The BRCGS completes the comprehensive audit to guarantee the highest industry standards for product handling and food safety.

Aztek Logistics, which operates across the retail and food and drink sectors, re-secured the accreditation to demonstrate industry-leading compliance and high-end service.

“Retaining the A standard for an eighth year in a row is testament to the hard work, diligence and attention to detail our team shows on a daily basis. Once again, congratulations go to our operations manager Duncan Pannell, who has worked tirelessly with the team to ensure our compliance was up to scratch across the board,” said Stuart Charter, Managing Director of Aztek Logistics.

“In a sector where margins remain small, service excellence is the biggest differentiator and provides customers with full confidence in our service. This accreditation demonstrates to existing and potential customers how committed we are to our role in the supply chain and how we strive for excellence in every aspect of the service we deliver.”

Aztek, a member of the Pallet-Track network, has enjoyed a year of significant growth, with a new 20,000 sq. ft warehouse in Arlesey opening earlier this year and 10 new vehicles and six trailers being added to its fleet. The company is a leading Hertfordshire-based warehousing and distribution business, as well as a premier end-to-end European freight forwarding solutions provider.

Holding industry accreditations including recognition from the Organic Food Federation and FORS Gold, Silver and Bronze, Aztek is ideally positioned as a preferred supplier of logistics services to all sectors. Optimising its seven-acre site, Aztek Self Storage is a separate, yet related business that has rapidly become a leading provider of storage facilities catering for the growing demand in self-storage across the UK.
