Liz Pridgeon Joins Skills For Logistics

Liz Pridgeon has joined Skills for Logistics (SfL) as Programme Manager – Skills. An expert who understands both the sector and the skills system, Liz joins SfL from Lantra, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for land based and environmental industries, where from 2011 she was Head of Qualifications and Curriculum. Prior to that, from 2008 Liz was Development Manager of Standards and Qualifications, having joined Lantra as Standards Qualifications Manager in 2005.

Liz has 19 years of experience working within the field of education, qualification development, delivery and assessment, in a range of roles – from successful course delivery, leading and managing teams and negotiating contracts through to management of funded projects.  Her work with awarding bodies and further education institutions to quality assure qualifications, apprenticeships and degrees has been instrumental in ensuring that industry requirements were met.

Commenting on her role at SfL of managing specialist focused ‘Skills’ projects designed to generate increased capability in the Logistics Sector, Liz said: “I am tremendously excited to be taking this vital position at Skills for Logistics and look forward to engaging with employers to understand how to best address their skills needs.”
