Krone has presented the perfect solution for flush-fit rear loading of 20’ containers at this year’s Transport Compleet Show in Hardenberg. The multifunctional Box Liner SDC27 eLTU70 chassis is easy to operate, it carries most types of container from 20’ to 45’ and it comes with an extending rear section and optional front extension for 45’ containers.

Even though Krone uses higher strength steel, the chassis only weighs 4,600 kilograms and due to the flush-fit container positioning, the weight distribution is better than comparable container chassis. Its compact, rear-end design helps with the weight saving as well.

Other advantages that operators will benefit from include: better handling due to the sliding chassis making it easy to change from one 40’ container to two 20’ containers, a front end with a locking mechanism that ensures secure loading, and colour-coded operating positions; integral lightning for added protection and to keep repairs down; and safe and secure container locking system that is fixed to the chassis and removable positioners for added convenience.

The Box Liner SDC27 eLTU70 chassis has a few additional functions such as tank container transport, a GenSet unit that facilitates the transport of refrigerated containers, equipped with its own fuel tank for independent operations, and the 45’ container without front extension that can be transported in accordance with the BO power circuit or turning circle.

The Krone family business is among the market leaders in commercial vehicle and agricultural machinery production. Its product portfolio in the commercial vehicle division includes curtainsided semitrailers, temperature-controlled semitrailers, dry freight semitrailers, container chassis, swap systems, general trailers, motor vehicle superstructures, and CEP vehicles for parcel services.
