FORS has confirmed there will be no increase to its membership subscription or audit fees during 2020, for the fifth year in succession. Its fees have now been fixed at the same rate since 2015, with the hold in membership costs announced as it enters its 12th year of operation.

Now with 5,000 members across the UK, the company continues to provide evolving best practice for transport operators of any size and vehicle make-up, delivering an even broader range of training and services to meet their diverse needs.

The FORS 2019 Annual Review, issued this week, highlights the depth of the benefits now available to its members which support the progressive accreditation, including a new accessible eLearning course focusing on pedestrian safety, and:

– Exclusive discounted fuel prices with the Fuel Expert fuel card offered through FORS Affinity Partner Fuel Card Services (FCS)

– An increase in the number of funded places on many mandatory training courses for drivers and managers

– A new mobile version of its popular Fleet Management System (FORS FMS) developed by software specialist and Affinity Partner FleetCheck

– Access to the Fleet Tools, free online information system to help members accurately collate and manage fleet related data.

Director, John Hix said: “As always, costs remain of huge importance to operators, so it is vital that FORS continues to ensure best value for our diverse membership base.”

“Our members recognise the value-add FORS brings, with our recent membership satisfaction survey finding two thirds of members questioned stating that their business had received indirect benefits as a result of FORS membership.”

“Holding our fees at the 2015 level highlights our commitment to our members and recognises their continued investment in driving forward best practice with FORS.”

Hix continues: “The initial pass rate at FORS Bronze during 2019 sat a very healthy 73 per cent, reflecting both the investment from members and the balance the FORS Standard has been able to strike, between being accessible, while offering far more than simple box-ticking.”

“FORS is an evolving programme which has maintained its position as the go to best practice accreditation scheme across the industry because it is able to adapt to the changing needs of the industry. We look forward to continuing this journey with our growing membership base in 2020 and beyond.”
