One of the largest DAF dealership groups in the UK, Ford & Slater, provided Denby Transport, Lincoln based international haulier, with a brand new DAF FTG XF480 tractor unit in just one week and exceeded all expectations.
“The average wait time for a new truck to be built is between three and four months. I have been known to sit on a waiting list for well over a year, but never in my life have I had a truck delivered in such a short time,” explained Peter Denby, Denby Transport Managing Director.
Peter contacted Ford & Slater in March 2018, looking for a DAF truck to add to the company’s extensive fleet and was immediately offered a brand new truck as part of Ford & Slater’s Stock Tractor Unit programme. On the course of one week, the dealership group managed to tailor the new FTG to the specific operational needs of the haulier.

It is for this reason that the Stock Tractor Unit programme has been so successful for customers. The new DAF FTG XF480 unit has now joined Denby Transport’s fleet of around 40 tractor units.
