Fleets of transportation and cargo vehicles will need to be even more vigilant than ever before on their carbon emitting impact due to the possible amounts of fines that they could accrue from Euro 6, which is dedicated to ensuring that transportation companies are wily and aware of what they need to do in order to reduce their impact on the ozone layer and the environment.

Leasing enterprise Arval found out that fines can easily be issued on equipment that is in the wrong. Arval, with over 157,000 different vehicles at its disposal in the United Kingdom alone, will need to be particularly vigilant and careful about this, since with the sheer number of vehicles that it has operating on motorways around the world it will accrue huge amounts of fines and benefit losses if it does not pay attention to the impending Euro 6 regulations.

This will mean that some older vehicles may need to be replaced by newer ones in order that fleets can remain up to date and on track with the same model vehicles to avoid confusion and mishaps, as has happened before in the past. Mr Simon Cook who consults fleets at Arval has explained that a series of maintenance and operational issues need to be addressed around Arval’s fleets as well as ensuring that seemingly simple details such as the right truck commissioned for the right amount of weight are not ignored or thrown into neglect, only to resurface later as much greater and disruptive issues.

The hope is therefore that Arval will continue to operate its fleets and teams of vehicles well and effectively around the world, and that the company will not accrue large amounts of fines on its vehicle emissions. With more than 6,000 workers worldwide, the hope is that teams and fleet managers around the world working for Arval can cooperate together to ensure that as little money is frivolously wasted as possible.
