ByBox, the UK’s leading provider of click & collect lockers and field support solutions, has appointed existing board members Dan Turner and Steve Huxter to the roles of CEO of ByBox Networks and CTO of ByBox Field Support respectively. These appointments will allow the group to continue its dramatic growth in the B2B logistics sector.

Due to major recent contract wins with international retailers and postal operators, ByBox Networks has grown by 52 per cent over the past year. This has matched the growth in consumer appetite for such services, with 76 per cent predicted to be using click & collect by 2017*. Such rapid expansion means the division, which provides click & collect lockers to retailers and postal operators, requires a constant presence on the board, from which Dan will continue to develop and steer the ByBox Networks offer, driving new business in the retail sector across the US and Europe.

This move vacates the position of CTO for ByBox Field Support, which will be filled by Steve Huxter. Having founded the business with Stuart Miller in 2000, his innate understanding of logistics technology and IT development puts him in the perfect position to further develop ByBox Field Support’s proprietary technology, ThinventoryTM, alongside other products. Such innovation has helped ByBox Field Support to reach the market leading position it holds, providing smart logistics for over 33,000 items every day across the UK and Europe.

Steve Huxter, CTO of ByBox Field Support, said: “ByBox has a proud history of inventing technologies that really do change and shape the marketplace. It was the first to introduce non-manned lockers to consolidate deliveries at a single location, something Dan will be taking to the next level as CEO of ByBox Networks. It launched ThinventoryTM, a software platform that revolutionised stock management and the supply chain, saving millions of pounds. Today ByBox sits at the centre of a global network of blue-chip customers who rely on us to match the right part with the right engineer and the right job, meeting stringent service levels and revolutionising industry.”

Stuart Miller, CEO of ByBox Group, said: “These appointments are indicative of the business’ successes up to this point and also of our future aims. As a developer of technology that simplifies logistics and supply chains for businesses across the world, we are leading the market. Equally, the expertise we have in this area is unparalleled. With such a team driving us forward, 2015 and beyond will see ByBox go from strength to strength.”
