Charcon Construction Solutions is a construction company providing innovative offsite-manufactured components and precast products for most stages of construction.

The company is comprised of a network of facilities across the UK, specialising in the housing, healthcare, education, industrial and commercial sectors.

To support Charcon’s increased demand and the expansion of its product range and manufacturing capacity, B&B Attachments – the UK’s leading independent supplier of forklift truck attachments – have supplied the construction solutions company with specialist Fork Positioners and Spreader Beam attachments, to their Retford site in Nottinghamshire.

As demands on material handling tasks are becoming increasingly complex, the Kaup Fork Positioners have been specially designed to increase flexibility, allowing both small and wide loads to be handled safely. The forks have been designed to knife between very small loads, ensuring minimal product damage.

The FS6500 Spreader Beam manufactured by B&B Attachments, has been designed to help handle very wide loads safely and efficiently. It is used to stabilise wide loads of potentially unstable products that are manufactured and supplied in longer lengths to customer specifications. The Spreader Beam has been mounted integrally to the truck mast to ensure optimum visibility for the operator, and the movement of the forks to over 6500mm spread ensures product damage is greatly reduced.

Shaun Brown, General Manager at Charcon CS and active member of the British Precast Concrete Federation comments “We are delighted with the attachments provided and the dedicated service B&B attachments have delivered us. These attachments have been chosen for their optimum performance, maximum productivity and end of line support.”

Established over 30 Years ago, B&B Attachments Ltd offer the largest range of products from a single source. With customers throughout the UK and Europe, B&B continues to build on its reputation for offering the most comprehensive aftercare service available in the attachment field.
