CMA Publishing The Order, MyFerryLink Confident Of A Positive Appeal Decision
Following its report in June, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has this morning made its project of order seeking to ban Eurotunnel from operating ferry services from the Port of Dover.
The project of order will not come into effect, as confirmed by the CMA, until after determination of our appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal. We continue to believe that the CMA does not have jurisdiction to review the transaction as a matter of UK law and, as a result, we continue to fight our case before the Competition Appeal Tribunal. The hearings before the appeal tribunal have been fixed for 24 and 25 November.
In the meantime, after excellent carryings during the summer season, we wish to reassure our loyal customers that we will continue to operate our full schedule with the high quality on-board services at highly competitive prices.
